Keeping Halloween Fun For Everyone

Did you celebrate Halloween this year?
Do you know any kids who have one or more food allergies?
If you're an adult with food allergies you know how challenging it can sometimes be, but when you're a kid it can seem like it overwhelms everything. Not to mention of course the constant worry of parents.
That's why I love the idea of including everyone and not making kids who cant have certain foods feel excluded from all the fun.
For me that's what the "Teal Pumpkin Project" is all about.
For those who don't know, this project was first launched in 2014 to promote safety and to allows kids with allergies to have a fun and positive experience at Halloween.

What can you do? Well it's actually pretty easy.
- Paint a pumpkin teal and place it outside your door. (You can also take advantage of free downloadable posters and other printables.  Please see below).
- Instead of handing out just food treats offer small non-food items for those kids with allergies.
- Host an allergy free Halloween party.
