New And Improved Labeling

Packaging and ecolabels

Have you noticed lately that there are more and more natural products coming into our local stores.  Which I think is a pretty fabulous thing, but have you noticed all that new labeling?
Perhaps you've noticed the more common ecolabels like the Non GMO seal or the newer Leaping Bunny?
Eco-labeling, according to Wikipedia, is a voluntary labeling system for food and consumer products.

Well, I wanted to know more so I looked into it and there are actually indexes available for many different countries including Canada, the UK and the US that list all the ecolabels for that Country.
United States Index:  ecolabel index for the United States
Canadian Index:  ecolabel index for Canada.
UK Index:  ecolabel index for the United Kingdom

There are also plenty of informative labels that you can now find on many of your personal care products.  From your shampoo and deodorant to your moisturizer and makeup.

Below I've listed the names of just a few of those informative little pictures you can find on some of your products. They can come in a verity of different looks or designs but the information they can provide for consumers is pretty much the same.

This easier to find information is incredibly helpful if you are wanting to know more about what's in your products.  Whether you're looking to stay away from certain ingredients or have a sensitivity or allergy. They can definitely make your search a little easier.
