Dealing With Grass And Pollen Allergies
Sometimes it's just frustrating when you have allergies and some days you just can't win. But there things you can do to help besides just taking allergy medication.
(Allergy medication can include everything from antihistamines, nasal sprays, allergy shots, naturopathic remedies, and supplements like Quercetin. Talk to your Doctor and your pharmacist to find out what is right for you.)
- If you are like me and have an allergy to grass stay away from the mower, get inside and close the windows and turn on the air purifier if you have one.
Other suggestions:
- Keeping a lawn short stops it from pollinating.
- Many areas have pollen count information available online and this can help you plan your day. Pollen Forcast, The Weather Network
- Change your cloths when you come in from outside and washing your clothing frequently can help reduce your exposure.
- Wipe of the dog or cat when they come in to remove any pollen on their fur.
- Don't dry your laundry outside.
- If you are going to sit or lay on the grass bring a blanket or something that prevents your skin from coming into contact with the grass.
